FAQs
Is this a weekly online class?
No – the entire experience is guided via email, for you to enjoy on your own schedule. The emails with your weekly playlist, journaling template, and drawing exercise are sent at 12am Pacific Time on Fridays so you'll have your reset available before the weekend no matter where you are in the world.
What if I fall behind?
There's no such thing as falling behind – you can do the rituals whenever they fit your schedule and in an order that works for you. Each email stays in your inbox for as long as you’d like to keep it. While the journaling prompts and drawing exercises build on certain themes from week to week, each ritual is designed to work as a standalone.
I'm not artistic. Can I still do this?
Absolutely – the Crossing Into Calm experience is built around simple, guided mindful drawing exercises that anyone can enjoy with their natural abilities and whatever paper, pens, and highlighters they already have on hand. You may surprise yourself with what you create along the way!
What supplies do I need?
You’ll need plain paper of any type, and the drawing exercises invite you to experiment with pens, pencils, markers and highlighters – no special art supplies required. The journaling templates are provided as PDFs that you can print, use digitally, or reference as you write in your own journal.
How much time does it take each week?
It’s suggested to set aside about 30 minutes for your ritual (and that's how long the custom playlists are). But you can easily adjust that up or down – settle in for a longer session to play with the given drawing variations if you're feeling inspired and have the time, or break it into smaller 10 minute bits throughout the week if that's what you need.
How do I listen to the weekly playlists?
You’ll receive a link to each week’s custom playlist on Spotify, which you can listen to on your browser or in the Spotify app. If you don’t already have an account on Spotify, you’ll be prompted to create a free one in order to listen.
How do cohorts work?
While this is an individual experience, new groups start together every two weeks. Optionally share your work and appreciate the creations of others in the online gallery space for your cohort.
What's the refund policy?
If Crossing Into Calm doesn’t feel like a good fit after your first week, email hannah@roomforcalm.com for a full refund, no questions asked. After the second email lands in your inbox, no more refunds will be provided.
